This Privacy Policy describes how Medeze ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our application for doctor–patient interaction and medical consultations.

Information We Collect

• First name, last name, email address, phone number, and hashed password
• Date of birth, gender, and profile photo
• Medical information such as blood group, allergies, chronic conditions, height, weight, and emergency contact details
• Doctors’ professional details such as license number, experience, consultation fees, biography, and clinic affiliation
• Uploaded prescriptions, medical documents, and profile images
• In-app messages, chats, feedback, and reviews
• Device information (model, OS version, FCM device token)
• Usage data and crash logs collected through Firebase services

How We Use Information

• To create and manage user accounts
• To enable communication between doctors and patients
• To conduct video and audio consultations
• To store and manage medical records and prescriptions
• To send notifications for appointments, messages, and updates
• To improve app performance and user experience
• To monitor crashes and ensure app stability
• To maintain security and prevent misuse

Permissions Used by the App

• Camera – to capture prescription images and enable video consultations
• Microphone – for audio during video consultations
• Storage / Photos – to upload and save prescription images
• Notifications – to send alerts and updates
• Internet & Network State – to connect with backend servers
• Modify Audio Settings – required for Agora video/audio calls

Data Storage and Hosting

User data is stored securely on Amazon RDS (MySQL) and files are stored on Amazon S3. The backend runs on AWS Lambda in the ap-south-2 (India) region. On the device, only hashed tokens and basic preferences are stored.

We do not sell user data to advertisers.

Data Sharing

Patient data is shared only with the respective doctor for consultation purposes. Doctor information is visible to patients for booking consultations. Data is processed by AWS, Google, and Agora strictly to provide core app functionality.

Data Security

Passwords are stored in hashed format. All communication between the app and servers is encrypted using HTTPS (TLS). We follow industry-standard practices to protect user data.

Data Retention

We retain medical records and user data as necessary to provide our services and comply with applicable healthcare regulations. Users may request data deletion by contacting us.

Your Rights

Users can request access, correction, or deletion of their personal data by contacting us at the email below.

Children’s Privacy

This app is intended for adults. Medical data of minors should only be managed by a legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
